Stewardship Manager, World Wildlife Fund, Washington, DC
World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the world’s leading conservation organization, seeks a Stewardship Manager to serve as the stewardship lead on the Donor Communications team. The position leads stewardship efforts for WWF’s principal and major donors (individuals giving $25,000+), including collaborating with gift officers to develop individual stewardship plans to deepen and strengthen donor engagement. S/he develops streamlined processes to track and ensure timely fulfillment of stewardship activities and is responsible for the entire process of developing high level philanthropy materials that will educate and inspire. These donor-centric pieces must convey donor impact and the organization’s appreciation of major gifts. S/he leads process for acknowledging gifts, writes/edits acknowledgement letters for WWF’s major donors and major donor prospects and assists with donor communication projects as needed.
A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 6 years of professional work experience is required with at least 3 years of specific experience with donor stewardship, including accurately and efficiently drafting of acknowledgements and reports. Exceptional writing, editing and verbal skills, excellent organizational skills, the ability to lead process development activities, strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, the ability to prioritize and fluency in Microsoft Office is required. Knowledge of conservation issues and donor database experience preferred.

World Wildlife Fund, the global conservation organization, is seeking a Senior Development Writer to write highly personalized narratives. These narratives will create strategic solicitation and stewardship pieces that cultivate and engage WWF's top individual donors and prospects to support WWF’s priorities. This person will also be responsible for developing the highest level philanthropy materials that will educate and inspire donors.
A Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communication, or a related discipline with at least 6 years of professional work experience is required. Exceptional writing, editing and verbal communication skills, solid interviewing, and researching skills are also required. At least 3 years specific experience with donor stewardship, including writing and packaging fundraising marketing material such as proposals and reports for high net worth individuals and/or foundations is needed.

Position Description:

Qualifications:

Ability to foster collaborative management based on open, transparent, continual communication, sharing, and inclusive decision-making is strongly desired. Attention to detail, strong data management/analytical skills, exemplary writing and verbal communication, and advanced computer literacy are a must.
