Mid-Atlantic Researchers Conference (MARC 2010)

Submission Deadline: February 1, 2010

The educational program for MARC 2010 is developed by the MARC Conference/Curriculum Committee under the guidance and direction of the APRA Board, MARC Board Liaison and MARC Conference Chair. To provide a professional, diverse and high-quality educational program, along with opportunities for new presenters to volunteer, the conference ranges from beginning and experienced practitioners to expert faculty, senior managers and leading industry consultants. To provide a regional opportunity for volunteer involvement and networking experiences, APRA Chapter Presidents in the region serve as members of the conference and curriculum committees.

  • APRA will be the premier international professional association addressing the changing needs and wide scope of skills required of advancement researchers and advancement service professionals working within the non-profit community.

APRA MISSION:

  • Development research and information management professionals play an integral role in increasing philanthropic support for nonprofit organizations.
  • The Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement fosters professional development and career growth, and promotes standards that enhance the expertise of its members.

APRA will direct its energies to the following goals:

  • To promote professional growth and advancement To advocate the highest standards of performance and ethical behavior To facilitate interaction among research, development and information professionals, and their representative organizations To serve as the professional organization for all individuals engaged or interested in advancement research and information services
  • To develop and implement an administrative organizational plan that will support the association
